I will praise and give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples; and I will sing praises unto You among the nations. (Psalm 108:3)

Writing this post comes with a mixture of feelings. Half of me is excited about new prospects and the other half feels a little bit down because of saying goodbye. In this past week I have had to take some time off blogging to seek out a suitable hosting platform for my blog.

This has been a little bit challenging for me. Most especially, dealing with the technical part of things. Having to research and read up about different hosting platforms, the technical requirements of private hosting, benefits, demerits and deciding the best way forward. Anyway, to cut the long story short, I finally made a decision and settled the deal yesterday, and this why I’m saying goodbye today to all my much treasured friends and readers on this side of WordPress.

Starting on this platform has been a great blessing. Even with all it’s challenges I have enjoyed my short tenure here on WordPress and I appreciate having had the opportunity to meet new comrades in the Kingdom vineyard and beautiful everyday people that have crossed my path on this platform. But, in other for me to accommodate the opportunities for further growth, I have to think of moving unto the right platform for me so that I can begin to plan and walk towards my objectives. Even though I will miss many of my WordPress family I am at the same time looking forward to this new challenge and to starting a new phase of the ministry God has entrusted to me.

I feel so honored and blessed to have worked with you all. Thank you so much for the lovely support, encouragement and most especially your prayers for me, you have all been a tremendous blessing in my life. May the Lord remember you with favor and shower His blessings on you!

Please feel free to keep in touch with me on my new blog at once it is up and running and also you can catch up with my post on bloglovin and I also look forward to catching up with yours. 🙂

Expectation The Power of Hope

Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place. (Psalm 23:6)

I sometimes hear people use phrases like “You better don’t get your hopes high.” or “Don’t expect anything in case you get disappointed” I mean let’s be frank,  if you really think about it, when people think like this, they are more or less saying “I don’t know what to expect.” put in another word, ” I’m expecting either something good or something bad.” Well, let me be frank about this mindset, it’s a ‘good recipe’ for disaster. And it’s not God’s will.

God is bold and clear about what His plans are for His children in the Scriptures. And His plans are good not evil. God’s is not wishing or planning any harm for anybody, that’s the devil’s job! The devil is the one who goes about looking for the opportunity to steal, kill and destroy people. (John 10:10).  Jesus Christ is a good shepherd whose desire is to guide you with His goodness and mercy every day of your life as you walk in obedience to His Word! (stop and reflect on that for a moment) Every morning when you wake up God says,  He will show you new mercy, meaning,  He is ready to wipe away your mistakes and failure of yesterday, and give you a brand new beginning everyday as you turn to God in humility and repentance.  And has you believe His word and takes steps of faith in the Word He promises that, He will go before you and remove everything obstructing your path to progress. (Isaiah 45:2).

If you are having difficulty believing the promises of God for any area of your life, I encourage you to get your Bible out and get your “Hopes very high”. God wants you to get your hopes high in His Word. The word of God is not a wishful hope like that of the world, the kind of hope unbelievers know is wishful hope, it is not guaranteed. But Bible hope has a Guarantor – The God who created the universe out of nothing! The Holy spirit who lives in the heart of every believer in Jesus Christ!

If Christ is your Lord, God is with you today! No matter how daunting the evil report, God cannot not fail. I encourage you to renew your thinking with the word of God. Meditate on it and declare what God says about you only.

I encourage you to make time to study and meditate on Psalm 23 and on these Scriptures

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.  (Jeremiah 29:11)
For the needy shall not always be forgotten, and the expectation and hope of the meek and the poor shall not perish forever. (Psalm 9:18)
Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it! (John 14:14)
[He has also appropriated and acknowledged us as His by] putting His seal upon us and giving us His [Holy] Spirit in our hearts as the security depositand guarantee [of the fulfillment of His promise]. (2 Corinthians 1:22) Amp
And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. (Philppians 4:8)

Much love ~ Praying for you! God bless!

Christ is the Measure

And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Sardis write: These are the words of Him Who has the seven Spirits of God [[a]the sevenfold Holy Spirit] and the seven stars: I know your record and what you are doing; you are supposed to be alive, but [in reality] you are dead.” (Revelation 3:1)

As a Christian is it possible to be part of the Body of Christ and yet be dead? Well let’s take a look at the Church of Sardis as an example.

This Church certainly had a reputation for activities when measured by human standard. Jesus said they were reputable by man’s standard but to Christ they were DEAD. This is one of the most subtle strategies of the devil, getting us full of religious activities without Christ in it! Any time we use wrong measure to determine who we are, or measure our worth the end result is deception. Wrong input equals wrong result.

Making it relevant to the season we are in now, how many people are busy with Christmas shopping and activities and yet no time for the Lord of Christmas?  In their hearts Christ does not stand a chance.  How many Churches and leaders are preoccupied with Church programs and activities and yet, Jesus is not welcomed in their Churches, yet  their activities are tagged with Christ?

The first thing to notice about the Church of Sardis is the Measure used in measuring their worth. Gaining men’s attention was more important than getting God’s approval. Whenever we seek to belong, our focus is shifted from Christ to man. And either way there is a harvest to be reaped.

Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap. For he who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.” (Galatians 6:7-8)

So, as we go about our activities today, lets pause and ask who are we trying to please? As you go about preparing for the Christmas celebration, buying gifts, wrapping presents, making plans for family, loved ones and social activities to go with the occasion, how much of it is Christ lead? Who is at the centre of it all, is it Christ or self?

Let us remember that Jesus is the reason for the season. Let us open our hearts and let Him be Lord of it all in every area of our life. Let us not get weary in serving the Lord, the same Bible tells us we will reap a beautiful harvest if we don’t quit.  “And let us not lose heart and grow weary and  faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.” (Galatians 6:9)

And Perhaps you are reading this and you do not know Jesus Christ, today is an opportunity for you to receive Him into your life as your Savior and Lord. He is also the greatest friend you can ever have! If this is your desire, please say this prayer now:

Jesus, come into my life. Forgive me of all my sins. I ask You to cleanse my heart, and make me a brand new person in you right now. I believe that You are the Son of God and that You died on the cross for me. Jesus I want to thank You for loving me enough to die for me. I accept all that your shed blood bought for me on the cross, and I receive You now as my Savior and Lord. I ask in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, please contact me and let me know. I will like to support you in your spiritual walk with Christ, if you have any prayer need you can also share it with me, I will love to lift your needs before God in prayer. You can contact me via the blog or email me at

Much love ~ Praying you have a restful and blessed weekend!

Let the JOY Out!

There is an absolute need to reclaim the joy of Christmas for every day living! The other day I read a report that saddened me. The report stated that for many people Christmas is the most stressful time of the year. More people suffer from worrying and anxiety. Many get depressed because of finances, whilst others suffer from grieve and disappointment during Christmas more than any other season in their lives. Now then, where does this kind of report come from? Because it is definitely not from God! This is a total distortion of God’s will and purpose. Take a look at what God says about Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ in Luke 2,

“But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all the people but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. 11 The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! 12 And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.” 13 Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” (Luke 2:10 -14)

Can you see? Armies of angels bursting with joy, singing praises unto God! They were praising God because something wonderful, something brand new had happened on the landscape of the earth. The Saviour of the world is born! Prior to Christ birth, Mankind was held bound by sin; anguish, grieve, hopelessness, death and all that come with the fallen nature. Jesus came for one reason, and that is: to give us LIFE. And not just an any kind of life, but an ABUNDANT Life. That is what Jesus said,

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” (John 10:10)

Also, take a look at the first sermon Jesus preached when He came to earth:

“”The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity], 19 To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound].”  (Luke 4:18-19)

Come on! Jesus is talking, good news, forgiveness, salvation, plentiful and abundant free favor of God to all mankind.

Before Jesus came the devil had a filled day given people anguish and grieve, there was no true joy and peace. Until God came to us. The day Jesus Christ was born true joy hit this earth, the very joy that God has in heaven came to live with us on earth. “Behold, the virgin shall become pregnant and give birth to a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel—which, when translated, means, God with us.” (Matthew 1:23)

Emmanuel means God is with us, God living with us is not sad news, but exceedingly glad news! Christianity is not just for Christmas day it’s for everyday living. Jesus came on the first Christmas morning 2000 years ago to give us an abundant Life, and He is still living with us today.

Jesus said, “behold, I am with you all the days perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion, to the [very] close and consummation of the age” (Matthew 28:20) Also Hebrews reinforces this fact,

Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not,[I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]” (Hebrews 13:5)

Jesus Christ lives round the clock in the heart of everyone who has received Him as saviour and Lord. Because Christ lives in us we have direct assess to the Joy of God. And that is Good news indeed!

The negative reports the media and others have about Christmas shows how the devil can distort something good when we don’t have an understanding of the Word of God says about our situation, it shows how cares and anxiety of this world can rub us of God’s  peace and joy, if we don’t stand by faith and kick the devil out of what God says is ours.

I pray you are encouraged by this word, that you let the joy out this Christmas and all through the year. Let us not focus on the negative things and lose sight of God’s gift to us, His Son Jesus Christ. Let us remember that God is not absent but with us everyday.  God, Emmanuel is with us! Amen.

Praying the very best of this season for you! God bless!

Not Subject to Times

“And we know (understand, recognize, are conscious of, by observation and by experience) and believe (adhere to and put faith in and rely on) the love God cherishes for us. God is love, and he who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God, and God dwells and continues in him.

17 In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgement [with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He is, so are we in this world.”    (1 John 4:16-17)

As believers in Jesus Christ we can have Christ living in our hearts yet live in bondage. We can confess Jesus Christ as our lord and saviour, go to church, do all the nice religious things and yet, the Presence of the Lord is not rubbed on us. Going to church yet, living in a cycle of defeats, and be a subject of whatever comes along our paths.

Therefore, it shows that, it’s not enough just to have Jesus Christ living in our hearts. That, if we want His power operating in our lives we must LIVE in Him.

The Word of God says as Christ is, so are we in this present world.

Is Jesus Christ subjected to economic recession, famine, diseases, depression or any evil presence? No, He is not a subject of any! Jesus Christ does not live under the dominion, control or any influences of this world system whether good or bad. And so, why should we allow the influences and the dictates of this world system to decide for us?

Jesus made it clear to us that we may be in this world, but we are not of this world. (John 17:16). We are set apart, sanctified unto God. Christ has separated us from , doom and gloom, failing economic system, plagues and pestilences or any evil! No matter our geographical location in the world, we don’t have to beg to eat, or have any needs met! (Psalm 37:18-19); (Psalm 37:25).

Jesus Christ has redeemed us with a costly price. His own Precious Blood. With His Blood He has cut us off, from every curse of the law: fear, diseases, lack, debt and every evil present in this world.  And Jesus  has already presented us God through His prayer, “I do not ask that You will take them out of the world, but that You will keep and protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world (worldly, belonging to the world), [just] as I am not of the world.”  (John 17:15-16)

Jesus has set us apart from the world to Himself, And this where we are suppose to live in the secret place of the Almighty. (Psalm 91) From this place, we are like the description in Psalm 1, thriving supernaturally, because we are living in His presence.

So, How do we live like Christ is, in this present world?   It’s  by obedience to His Word.

Jesus said it, “If you keep My commandments [if you continue to obey My instructions], you will abide in My love and live on in it, just as I have obeyed My Father’s commandments and live on in His love. 11 I have told you these things, that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing.” (John 15:10-11).  Living in obedience to the Lord and walking in love is the key to abiding in His presence.

I hope we have been encouraged, that in-spite of whatever is happening in the world, we are not subject to it, but we are suppose to thrive, going from glory to glory and His name, been glorified through us. Amen!

From this end, I am praying for you! God bless you! 🙂

“ He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust! For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.” (psalm 91:1-4)

In This post I will continue with the topic I started in my last post. I shared about the general importance of have a solid foundation so that in troubled times we will be stand strong and overcome. I believe two primary foundations are essential in our journey of faith. First the WORD Foundation and second PRAYER foundation. I already covered the first one in the last post “House Built on the Rock” and in this post I will continue with the second – Prayer Foundation

Prayer is universal, the Bible is by a huge margin the No 1 best seller in the world, with 6 billion copies sold. Already that is a sign that people generally believe in the existence of God and the ability to do both the possible and impossible.

Unfortunately there is a lot of misunderstanding when it comes to prayer, many times our lack of understanding and many lies told us by Satan often rub us of the confidence to approach God in prayer. Let me quick emphasis here, that this post is not a teaching on the subject of prayer. My reason for sharing this post is really to simplify prayer as much as possible.

The unique thing about prayer, is that the more you cultivate the habit of prayer , the more you want to pray. There is never a time or a level in prayer that anyone can say “I have arrived”, because as long as we are in God we are been transformed from one degree of glory to another. The more time we spend in His presence the more we get addicted to the warmth of His glorious embrace and the beautiful fragrance of His glory and presence. The experience David captured so well, “As the hart pants and longs for the water brooks, so I pant and long for You, O God. My inner self thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God?”(Psalm 42:1-2) AMP

There is a burden in my heart for the discouraging and distressing season many are going through, and my earnest hope is that this post on prayer will be simple enough to inspire the desire and confidence to dwell in His presence abiding under His Shadow 24/7. This is the secret place David unveiled to us over and over in the Bible, many in the Book of Psalms. David was a man that went through the valley of death many times in his life time, but through it all, David learnt an important fact, that, there is a place we can run to hide and abide where death and no scheme of Satan can prevail against us. That secret place is in PRAYER

Personally I can testify that prayer works, I have been through some dark seasons in my life, family break up, rebellious teenage, depression, overwhelming and agonizing dark times but in each and every one my valleys God carried me and not only that, I came out stronger each time than, when I went into the valley. What the devil planned for my harm God turned it around to be a blessing. To God be all the glory!

It’s unfortunate that many times the general believe is that prayer is about getting God to do things for us, or it is part of a religious duties that has to be fulfilled in other to appease God. First, lets define what prayer is and what prayer is not.

Prayer is not getting God to do things for us and neither is it about observing a religious duty. Put simply Prayer is fellowship with God. It’s communicating with God. In the true sense, fellowship means – sharing mutual desires, plans, likes and dislikes. And it is basically the same with our Prayer fellowship with our Heavenly Father The style of communication depends on personal preference. It can be loud or quite, in any preferred posture we find appropriate. The essential thing is sharing heart to heart with our heavenly Father. It is not a one sided dialogue, but two ways, we communicate to God and He communicates back to us. In prayer we share and pour out our heart to God and in return we listen to His heart as well. Like a father to son or daughter sharing and having fellowship together.

To make it even more intimate, it’s like a husband and wife relationship where the two are so united that they are no longer two but one. Abraham’s dedication and loyalty to God earned him the reputation “friend of God” (James 2:23).  Jesus in the New Testament called the disciples His friends (John 15:15).  And no wonder God refers to us in many instances in the Bible as His Bride. In the Bible God calls Himself our maker and also our Husband. In the New Testament Christ is revered to as Bridegroom to us – the Church.

As such, an aspect of our relation with the Lord is a Divine Marriage of Pure Intimacy. This should help us to capture the deep love He has for us. God desires our fellowship. We are on His mind 24/7, He is constantly thinking about us! David paints this aspect of God in the Psalms , “When I view and consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained and established, What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of [earth born] man that You care for him? Yet You have made him but a little lower than God [or heavenly beings], and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet”  (Psalm 8:3-6)

This is the heart of prayer – Divine union in intimacy of fellowship with the Lord. And this is where our strength comes from. The WORD is our beginning and PRAYER is our strength. The Bible says “But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” (Isaiah 40:31)

When you come under the His Wings in Prayer, His Wings do not not only covers you, when you come into the Lord’s tabernacle of prayer you carry every area of your life into that secret place, your family, your business, ministry, your life and everything about you comes under the protection of Almighty God.

Yet, there is more, In the Mark Jesus said “For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].” (Mark 11:24)

Well, what more can be bigger than “Whatever”, this is more or less a Blank Cheque. This is more or less like God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis chapter 15  “And He brought him outside [his tent into the starlight] and said, Look now toward the heavens and count the stars—if you are able to number them. Then He said to him, So shall your descendants be.” (Genesis 15:5)

We, like Abraham have the Word in written form saying “whatsoever you desire” meaning it’s up to us.  We decide the limit based on how far we are willing to go in God. Abraham earned His friendship with God because of His dedication and loyalty to God . Whatever we need, we have the basis for it to be granted in His word and in the posture of Prayer lifestyle. The Lord desires to bless us as we go to Him in prayer, so that His name will be glorified in our life and on the Earth. Based on His promises no body should miss out!

So let us be encouraged, to make prayer a priority, cultivating a prayer lifestyle. If we desire this and we ask the Lord, He will help us.  The Holy Spirit will empower us to pray and He will also show us what to pray and how to pray.  As we commit to dwelling under His Wings in prayer, we will diffuse the fragrance of His presence every where we go, we will stamp His presence on every thing we touch, and we will be strengthened to stand and be victorious in every situation. Under His Wings we will rise above every trouble, adversity and storm in life in Jesus name!

“So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be like a stupid (foolish) man who built his house upon the sand. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell—and great and complete was the fall of it.” (Matthew 7:24-27)

I know these are turbulent and frightening times. Many are facing raging storms and different winds of adversity. In the darkest moment it’s very easy to be become overwhelmed with discouragement and lose hope. These constant assaults from Satan against God’s children is heart wrenching and it breaks God’s heart. It is never God’s will that any of us be fearful, anxious or be hopeless at any given moment.

I’m going to share about the importance of having our lives Built on two important primary Foundations. The first foundation is the WORD and the second foundation is PRAYER

We all know the importance of foundation to a house. Foundation is crucial, it is the most important part of a building, it’s the part that determines whether a house will stand or not. And the depth of the foundation determines what can be built on it. A house with a faulty or shallow foundation will definitely not stand. In direct application to life, Foundation is a grounding principle in all aspects of life because Foundation keeps us rooted, so that we are not easily uprooted and washed away in troubled times. A firm solid foundation makes us strong and focused.

In the bible passage referenced above, (Matthew 7:24-27).  Jesus taught something very profound, about having our lives built on an anchor that is sure to hold against any and every assault! As believers in Jesus Christ, the WORD is our beginning and foundation. The bible says, we are Begotten or Re-born by the WORD. (1 Peter 1:23) This is how we became Born Again. We believed the WORD of salvation preached and we confessed the WORD of salvation and we became ‘A NEW CREATION’. This New Man or New Creation has come to existence because of believing the WORD and confessing the WORD of salvation preached. (Romans 10:9)

Therefore, because our beginning is founded on the Word, from the moment we become born again, we must also continue in the Word. Studying, mediating and applying the WORD to every area of our lives. It is not a nice saying and it’s difficult to embrace, but Storms are inevitable in life, if you have lived in this world long enough, you know this by now. Everyone of us will face different storms at different times of our lives, and to different degrees. Storms and adversity are part of an imperfect world that we leave in now.

Something to take notice of, is that, the two categories of people described in the bible passage above both faced the storm, wind and the rain. It shows that storms are in inevitable to both believers and unbelievers.

Also, looking at things from the right perspective, it wasn’t actually the storm that destroyed the other house, what destroyed the other house described above is the fact that it had no foundation. So, our focus therefore, should not be our problems and adversities. Rather, we should make it a priority to build a good Solid Foundation that will blast off every storm and adversity when they dare to cross our parts. As Christians, this is part of the fight of faith we have to fight.

Been more proactive about this, First, what is this ROCK? Second, how do we build this FOUNDATION that can stand against the “Test of life” and assaults of Satan?

In the bible account of Matthew 16:13-19.

In a nut shell, Peter got the revelation of Christ as the Messiah and confessed it. Peter’s original name is Simon Jonah, but after the revelation Jesus named him “ Peter or Petros” in Greek, meaning, “Rock” because of the revelation he received. Peter did not receive the understanding that Jesus Christ is the Messiah from the human reasoning. That knowledge came directly from God to Peter.

It’s because of the revelation, Jesus told Peter that, based on the revelation he received from God, Peter now has a strong foundation, ROCK Solid Foundation, that comes from The Faith of God. And, on that foundation, Jesus can build a House for Himself – A House of Faith built on revelation from God. A house that will reflect God’s glory on the earth. Which of course no devil can prevail against!  “And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros—a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra—a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it].” (Matthew 16:18) AMP

This ‘Rock’ or ‘Revelation’ Jesus is referring to here with Peter is not Religion or Church rules and regulations , it is not Denominational doctrines, is not feelings or man’s opinion. It is a revelation based on scriptures, revealed by the Holy Spirit. Some people call this ‘A promise’ and others call it in the Greek form, ‘Rehema’ word. This is a specific scripture highlighted to you by the Holy Spirit for your specific situation. (John 16: 13-14). When we act by faith on a scripture, revealed by Holy Spirit to us for a specific situation God is obligated to do that word because that is His will for us. (Isaiah 55:11) When Jesus commissioned the disciple to go and preach the Gospel, the bible says that God was with them and confirmed the word.

“And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept working with them and confirming the message by the attesting signs and miracles that closely accompanied [it]. Amen (so be it).” (Luke 16:20) AMP

God confirmed the WORD they preached with miracle, signs and wonders because they preached the Good News not bunch of rules and doctrines. When we base our lives on the WORD not feelings, or man’s opinion God is obligated to confirm what He has promised us in His Word.

Second, to build this foundation; We must HEAR and DO the WORD .

To build our house on solid foundation, we must pay attention to the Word so that the mind is renewed to the reality of the ‘New Nature’ we have become, and our spirit is straightened to over rule the sinful desires of the ‘old nature’ which is no longer us. The word must be given first priority in every area of our lives. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word. The more attention and time spent in the word, the stronger we are.

With respect to being doers of the Word, the Bible gives a good illustration in James 1: 22-25.  “….But he who looks carefully into the faultless law, the [law] of liberty, and is faithful to it and perseveres in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he shall be blessed in his doing (his life of obedience).”   (James 1:25). Doing the word will require, settling it down in our hearts to make the word final authority and obey the scripture. Everything a believer receives from God is by faith in the word. When we hear the word and then do it, we will be blessed like Peter and this how the Lord builds us to become His house, built on the Rock Foundation. No devil or any plot of Satan can prevail against this. And this is how our level of authority increases in the kingdom of God as well.

Now here comes the tough part, Paying attention to the word requires diligent efforts and commitment. Because the world is very negative and resistance to the things of God. If you are going to walk by faith, it means you are swimming against the current or tide, and this will require deliberate efforts on your part to keep your focus on Jesus Christ! The Lord does not automatically do these things for us. He is always there 24/7 to help us but we have to give Him the assess to flow through us, How? By making a quality decision to spend time and encourage our selves in the Word.

If the best part your time is spent listening to negative news report of job losses, financial doom and gloom, family problems, unproductive TV programs, I tell you, you are not going to be encouraged, your heart will be dominated with fear, and anxiety. And when the devil brings financial storm, sickness, family problem or any crisis into your life, you will speak with fear and doubt your faith. This is exactly what the devil wants you to do, so that you are in agreement with his plan to steal, kill and destroy. The devil knows very well that we rule and reign in life with our word. The power of death and life is in the tongue (Proverbs 18:21)

It’s what ever we are full of when the devil brings a storm into our lives that we will confess! This is why God told Joshua to be strong and be courageous “ Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9)

When you take the utmost effort to spend quality time with The Holy Spirit in the word. As you commit to doing this on a consistent basis the Word will begin to change you from the inside to the outside, the Word will begin such a transformation in you that the tide will turn on your inside. You will no longer see the storm as a giant and you as a grasshopper rather, you will see yourself as the giant and the storm as a grasshopper under the sole of your feet to trample on, once you can see it by faith on the inside you will be begin to speak with a force of faith and act on your faith that it will blast every problem and cause every demon sent to torment you to flee!

In conclusion I will like to close with this Scripture in Proverbs because i believe it mirrors the heart of this message. It says,

“My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.” ( Proverbs 4:20-22)

Let us commit afresh today to diligently take hold of the WORD and DO what the WORD says. Because when we do this, we become anchored to the solid of ROCK of Christ and no storm can take us out. Rather, every storm becomes opportunity for us to strengthen our faith in God and be used to promote us to a new level.

P.S. I will continue with the Foundation of prayer in the next post.

“This charge and admonition I commit in trust to you, Timothy, my son, in accordance with prophetic intimations which I formerly received concerning you, so that inspired and aided by them you may wage the good warfare,  Holding fast to faith that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence) and having a good (clear) conscience. By rejecting and thrusting from them [their conscience], some individuals have made shipwreck of their faith.”   (1Timothy 1:18-19)

In the past, I have heard people make comments like, “Christianity or Church is for the weak who can’t cope, it’s for people who can’t pull themselves up and get on with life, so they need spiritual rules as prop for support” You know what ? I don’t blame people who make such comments, it’s because they don’t understand the true meaning of Christianity. The Christian life is not lived by human strength nor is it about rules and regulations. Christianity is about living in the grace of God. “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son  so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

What God requires from us is to live by faith in what His son, Jesus Christ has done for us. God is totally satisfied with the price paid by Jesus on the cross, and there is nothing more we can add to it. ” ..all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives.”Romans 3:23) All our good works before God is like flighty rags, when compared to what Christ has done. The Just shall live by faith in what Christ has accomplished. The bible says, “without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6).

It must be said, walking by faith is not a bed of roses, there is a fight element involved in the faith walk. There is no where in the Bible that says following Christ is a trouble free zone. We have an adversary, Satan. However, the Bible makes it clear that we are over-comers, (Revelation 12:11) By the blood the Lamb (Jesus Christ), we are more than conquerors in every battle. This is why Paul in the scripture instructed Timothy to fight a good fight of faith (Spiritual warfare) for the prophecies made over his life. (1 Timothy 1:18-19); (1 Timothy 6:12-13)

As Christians, we are New Creation in Christ “Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:17) The first Adam sinned and handed dominion authority to the Satan, Jesus came as the second Adam and restored dominion back to us! As New Creation, we are SEATED in heavenly places with Christ, ruling and reigning with Him.

As New Creation, we are suppose to live the abundant life Jesus came to give us (John 10:10) by, renewing our mind with the Word of God. We are suppose to be governed by the Spiritual law, the Word of God. God’s word is supreme, it is higher and above the natural law. It’s clear from the scripture that, the visible things which can be seen originated from the invisible (Spiritual) world. The invisible God created all that is visible to us.

The bible shows that, as New Creation, we are the seed of Christ, being Born Again by the incorruptable Word of God, which is alive and lives forever! (1 Peter 1:23). In other words, we are partakers of the Divine Nature (Heirs of Christ), we are living in Christ, ruling and reigning with Him. “ If then you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth. 3 For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.” (Colossians 3:1-3)

Can you see that? This is saying, although, we are physically on the earth, but by position, we have been raised into a place higher than any in this natural world. We have been positioned in Christ and all that Christ has is our’s. So how do we apply  this to everyday living? We rule and reign with Christ by exercising the authority delegated to us in Jesus name. In Jesus Name we subdue every work of the devil on earth. As Jesus Christ is, so are we also in this world. (1 John 4:17).

It’s very clear from Scriptures what Jesus was about when He was on earth – He went about on earth destroying the works of the devil and establishing God’s Kingdom. “How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him.” (Acts 10:38). This same responsibility is now delegated to us as followers of Christ. We have the same Holy Spirit that was with Jesus now living in us. (John 14:26)

The great news about this fight of faith is this, it is done from, ‘A POSITION OF REST’.

First, note that the scripture says Jesus is SEATED at the right hand of God, meaning we are also SEATED at the right hand of God. SEATING posture does not signify fighting, it signifies RESTING. SEATING  is a position of REST. Second, notice that we are seating in heavenly places above the earthly realm, and any powers of darkness, this means the devil is also under our feet, if we positioned in Christ. We are suppose to pray and decree the will of God over all things from this higher domain of authority. You have the authority to command demonic orchestrations to cease in Jesus name and the devil has no choice but to obey you because you are in Christ.

One good example to illustrate this is, when a king is in session. Growing up in Africa I’m familiar with this. When kings enter the room, to take his position on the thrown, they enter with an awe around them, they are like a hero, they walk to the throne with honour, power and majesty, there is such a stillness and silence that you can hear a pin drop. The moment the king seats every ear is listening to what he is about to say. And what ever that king proclaims from that seat becomes binding on his subjects. He doesn’t even have to do anything physically to enforce the decree, his delegates will see to it that the kings wishes or decree is done. Because the word of a king carries power.

As Christians our word has power when spoken in faith. As heirs of Christ we have angels waiting to serve us and execute our word because God is our Father. (Hebrews 1:14); (Psalm104:20).  We are suppose to pray from our position in Christ. Our prayer posture should be that of REST in the finished work of Christ! As the Church of Jesus Christ we are not the tail. We are the head and we are walking on the devil’s head! That’s why Jesus said, “Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.” (Luke 10:19)

This is the fight, we have to fight as Christians. It is not a fight against flesh and blood, not against any  human beings or governing authorities but it is against spiritual forces of darkness and wickedness in high places controlling people and opposing God’s will on earth. (Ephesians 6:12) This why I have titled this post “This is a good fight. Take it!You can take your healing, finances, family, your life and your community back for God.

Let’s “fight a good fight of faith” and take every thing God has for us and let us remember our responsibility to reach out to those bound in the clutches of Satan . God bless you as you press in for total victory in Jesus Name! 🙂

“Now when these things begin to occur, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption (deliverance) is drawing near.” (Luke 21:28) AMP

This post is a continuation of my last post “Watch and Pray!!!”

As I highlighted in part one , we are living in perilous times. However, this is what I want to focus on this post, even though is obvious that the devil is roaming about looking for whom to devour, I want to say that, we should not let what we see and hear in the news discourage us. God wants us to rise up in our individual lives against evil reports and negative mind set. He wants us to rise up in prayer!

God started this thing and He is going to see to it that everything winds up just as it is foretold in the bible. Some people think that God is not in control, while others blame God for not using His power to stop terrible things. It is clear from the word of God that God is not the author of evil and confusion. The bible is clear, “The thief (Satan) comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy.” But Jesus came to give us an abundant and overflowing life! (John 10:10)

The devil is a thief who comes to steal our Joy, Peace, Healing, Abundant Life and everything that Jesus Christ paid for on the cross. The devil has no power, he is a trespasser. The only thing Satan possesses is the power to deceive, if we give him the opportunity by choosing to believe his lies. That is why God says “My people are destroy for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4: 6)

The bible gives us many examples of the signs that should warn us of the coming end of the age. It is important we study the bible and have understand about what the word of God has to say about the season we are in on the earth. The devil is not in control because God has already given us accurate prophecies in the bible about our generation and the events of our time thousands of years ago. God did not give us these predictions to terrorise us, but rather, to warn and prepare us for the second coming of Jesus Christ.

God does not want us to sleep through the signs that the day of the Lord should suddenly descend upon us and we miss our salvation. Though, we are not told when the End of this age will come, but God wants us to know when it’s getting closer. The church is becoming more and more compliant to the world as the interfaith movement grows. More and more churches are beginning to sleep through the growing attacks on their faith.

God expects us to be sober and be vigilant in studying the word, and live by the standard of His word, not the standard of this world system. Jesus told us, though we are living in this world, but we don’t belong to this world, and the world will hate and persecute us just like they did to Jesus. (John 15:18-21). Jesus said “blessed are you when people revile you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things against you falsely because of My account.” (Mark 5:10-12). He told us we are to rejoice by faith despite it all because He has overcome the world for us. (John 16:33)

“Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have (already) defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4)

We are children of God and God will take care of us, just like He took care of the Children of Israel in Egypt and through the wilderness. God delivered them from Pharaoh, in the wilderness he protected them, gave them water from the rock, rained down manna for food, provided them supernatural clothes and shoes, warmth, not even one of them was sick in all the 40 years they were in the wilderness! And God gave them supernatural victory over all of their enemies and brought them into the promised land. He is still the same God today!

Whether the antichrist is already here or not, it doesn’t matter. God is still the same God. And whether we believe in Pre-tribulation rapture, or that Christians will witness the full tribulation wrath, and final judgements does not matter. God is with us and He is a SUPERNATURAL God that is able to do ALL things. The beginning of the birth pains and the signs of the times should alert and remind us that we have work to do. The bible says “Multitudes and multitudes of souls are in the valley of decision.” (Joel 3:13). Many are been drawn into the “valley of decision” many are been challenged to repent, many are looking for the hope in Christ Jesus! We should be motivated to reach out and save as many souls as possible in the time we have left.

God is pouring out His Spirit in greater measure than ever before. It is now harvest time.  The Great commission tells us to be disciples to all nations, bringing the message of salvation through Christ to all people. Jesus is coming back again for those Who are truly living for Him and expecting His return!

I will like to conclude with these encouraging verses:

“Therefore do not worry and be anxious, saying, What are we going to have to eat? or, What are we going to have to drink? or, What are we going to have to wear?
32 For the Gentiles (heathen) wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows well that you need them all.
33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.” (Matthew 6:31-33)

P.S. Below is part 2 of the video clip for this post.
