I will praise and give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples; and I will sing praises unto You among the nations. (Psalm 108:3)

Writing this post comes with a mixture of feelings. Half of me is excited about new prospects and the other half feels a little bit down because of saying goodbye. In this past week I have had to take some time off blogging to seek out a suitable hosting platform for my blog.

This has been a little bit challenging for me. Most especially, dealing with the technical part of things. Having to research and read up about different hosting platforms, the technical requirements of private hosting, benefits, demerits and deciding the best way forward. Anyway, to cut the long story short, I finally made a decision and settled the deal yesterday, and this why I’m saying goodbye today to all my much treasured friends and readers on this side of WordPress.

Starting on this platform has been a great blessing. Even with all it’s challenges I have enjoyed my short tenure here on WordPress and I appreciate having had the opportunity to meet new comrades in the Kingdom vineyard and beautiful everyday people that have crossed my path on this platform. But, in other for me to accommodate the opportunities for further growth, I have to think of moving unto the right platform for me so that I can begin to plan and walk towards my objectives. Even though I will miss many of my WordPress family I am at the same time looking forward to this new challenge and to starting a new phase of the ministry God has entrusted to me.

I feel so honored and blessed to have worked with you all. Thank you so much for the lovely support, encouragement and most especially your prayers for me, you have all been a tremendous blessing in my life. May the Lord remember you with favor and shower His blessings on you!

Please feel free to keep in touch with me on my new blog at once it is up and running and also you can catch up with my post on bloglovin and I also look forward to catching up with yours. 🙂

Expectation The Power of Hope

Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place. (Psalm 23:6)

I sometimes hear people use phrases like “You better don’t get your hopes high.” or “Don’t expect anything in case you get disappointed” I mean let’s be frank,  if you really think about it, when people think like this, they are more or less saying “I don’t know what to expect.” put in another word, ” I’m expecting either something good or something bad.” Well, let me be frank about this mindset, it’s a ‘good recipe’ for disaster. And it’s not God’s will.

God is bold and clear about what His plans are for His children in the Scriptures. And His plans are good not evil. God’s is not wishing or planning any harm for anybody, that’s the devil’s job! The devil is the one who goes about looking for the opportunity to steal, kill and destroy people. (John 10:10).  Jesus Christ is a good shepherd whose desire is to guide you with His goodness and mercy every day of your life as you walk in obedience to His Word! (stop and reflect on that for a moment) Every morning when you wake up God says,  He will show you new mercy, meaning,  He is ready to wipe away your mistakes and failure of yesterday, and give you a brand new beginning everyday as you turn to God in humility and repentance.  And has you believe His word and takes steps of faith in the Word He promises that, He will go before you and remove everything obstructing your path to progress. (Isaiah 45:2).

If you are having difficulty believing the promises of God for any area of your life, I encourage you to get your Bible out and get your “Hopes very high”. God wants you to get your hopes high in His Word. The word of God is not a wishful hope like that of the world, the kind of hope unbelievers know is wishful hope, it is not guaranteed. But Bible hope has a Guarantor – The God who created the universe out of nothing! The Holy spirit who lives in the heart of every believer in Jesus Christ!

If Christ is your Lord, God is with you today! No matter how daunting the evil report, God cannot not fail. I encourage you to renew your thinking with the word of God. Meditate on it and declare what God says about you only.

I encourage you to make time to study and meditate on Psalm 23 and on these Scriptures

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.  (Jeremiah 29:11)
For the needy shall not always be forgotten, and the expectation and hope of the meek and the poor shall not perish forever. (Psalm 9:18)
Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it! (John 14:14)
[He has also appropriated and acknowledged us as His by] putting His seal upon us and giving us His [Holy] Spirit in our hearts as the security depositand guarantee [of the fulfillment of His promise]. (2 Corinthians 1:22) Amp
And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. (Philppians 4:8)

Much love ~ Praying for you! God bless!

Christ is the Measure

And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Sardis write: These are the words of Him Who has the seven Spirits of God [[a]the sevenfold Holy Spirit] and the seven stars: I know your record and what you are doing; you are supposed to be alive, but [in reality] you are dead.” (Revelation 3:1)

As a Christian is it possible to be part of the Body of Christ and yet be dead? Well let’s take a look at the Church of Sardis as an example.

This Church certainly had a reputation for activities when measured by human standard. Jesus said they were reputable by man’s standard but to Christ they were DEAD. This is one of the most subtle strategies of the devil, getting us full of religious activities without Christ in it! Any time we use wrong measure to determine who we are, or measure our worth the end result is deception. Wrong input equals wrong result.

Making it relevant to the season we are in now, how many people are busy with Christmas shopping and activities and yet no time for the Lord of Christmas?  In their hearts Christ does not stand a chance.  How many Churches and leaders are preoccupied with Church programs and activities and yet, Jesus is not welcomed in their Churches, yet  their activities are tagged with Christ?

The first thing to notice about the Church of Sardis is the Measure used in measuring their worth. Gaining men’s attention was more important than getting God’s approval. Whenever we seek to belong, our focus is shifted from Christ to man. And either way there is a harvest to be reaped.

Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap. For he who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.” (Galatians 6:7-8)

So, as we go about our activities today, lets pause and ask who are we trying to please? As you go about preparing for the Christmas celebration, buying gifts, wrapping presents, making plans for family, loved ones and social activities to go with the occasion, how much of it is Christ lead? Who is at the centre of it all, is it Christ or self?

Let us remember that Jesus is the reason for the season. Let us open our hearts and let Him be Lord of it all in every area of our life. Let us not get weary in serving the Lord, the same Bible tells us we will reap a beautiful harvest if we don’t quit.  “And let us not lose heart and grow weary and  faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.” (Galatians 6:9)

And Perhaps you are reading this and you do not know Jesus Christ, today is an opportunity for you to receive Him into your life as your Savior and Lord. He is also the greatest friend you can ever have! If this is your desire, please say this prayer now:

Jesus, come into my life. Forgive me of all my sins. I ask You to cleanse my heart, and make me a brand new person in you right now. I believe that You are the Son of God and that You died on the cross for me. Jesus I want to thank You for loving me enough to die for me. I accept all that your shed blood bought for me on the cross, and I receive You now as my Savior and Lord. I ask in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, please contact me and let me know. I will like to support you in your spiritual walk with Christ, if you have any prayer need you can also share it with me, I will love to lift your needs before God in prayer. You can contact me via the blog or email me at

Much love ~ Praying you have a restful and blessed weekend!

Let the JOY Out!

There is an absolute need to reclaim the joy of Christmas for every day living! The other day I read a report that saddened me. The report stated that for many people Christmas is the most stressful time of the year. More people suffer from worrying and anxiety. Many get depressed because of finances, whilst others suffer from grieve and disappointment during Christmas more than any other season in their lives. Now then, where does this kind of report come from? Because it is definitely not from God! This is a total distortion of God’s will and purpose. Take a look at what God says about Christmas, the birth of Jesus Christ in Luke 2,

“But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all the people but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. 11 The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! 12 And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.” 13 Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.” (Luke 2:10 -14)

Can you see? Armies of angels bursting with joy, singing praises unto God! They were praising God because something wonderful, something brand new had happened on the landscape of the earth. The Saviour of the world is born! Prior to Christ birth, Mankind was held bound by sin; anguish, grieve, hopelessness, death and all that come with the fallen nature. Jesus came for one reason, and that is: to give us LIFE. And not just an any kind of life, but an ABUNDANT Life. That is what Jesus said,

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” (John 10:10)

Also, take a look at the first sermon Jesus preached when He came to earth:

“”The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity], 19 To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound].”  (Luke 4:18-19)

Come on! Jesus is talking, good news, forgiveness, salvation, plentiful and abundant free favor of God to all mankind.

Before Jesus came the devil had a filled day given people anguish and grieve, there was no true joy and peace. Until God came to us. The day Jesus Christ was born true joy hit this earth, the very joy that God has in heaven came to live with us on earth. “Behold, the virgin shall become pregnant and give birth to a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel—which, when translated, means, God with us.” (Matthew 1:23)

Emmanuel means God is with us, God living with us is not sad news, but exceedingly glad news! Christianity is not just for Christmas day it’s for everyday living. Jesus came on the first Christmas morning 2000 years ago to give us an abundant Life, and He is still living with us today.

Jesus said, “behold, I am with you all the days perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion, to the [very] close and consummation of the age” (Matthew 28:20) Also Hebrews reinforces this fact,

Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not,[I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]” (Hebrews 13:5)

Jesus Christ lives round the clock in the heart of everyone who has received Him as saviour and Lord. Because Christ lives in us we have direct assess to the Joy of God. And that is Good news indeed!

The negative reports the media and others have about Christmas shows how the devil can distort something good when we don’t have an understanding of the Word of God says about our situation, it shows how cares and anxiety of this world can rub us of God’s  peace and joy, if we don’t stand by faith and kick the devil out of what God says is ours.

I pray you are encouraged by this word, that you let the joy out this Christmas and all through the year. Let us not focus on the negative things and lose sight of God’s gift to us, His Son Jesus Christ. Let us remember that God is not absent but with us everyday.  God, Emmanuel is with us! Amen.

Praying the very best of this season for you! God bless!

Not Subject to Times

“And we know (understand, recognize, are conscious of, by observation and by experience) and believe (adhere to and put faith in and rely on) the love God cherishes for us. God is love, and he who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God, and God dwells and continues in him.

17 In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgement [with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He is, so are we in this world.”    (1 John 4:16-17)

As believers in Jesus Christ we can have Christ living in our hearts yet live in bondage. We can confess Jesus Christ as our lord and saviour, go to church, do all the nice religious things and yet, the Presence of the Lord is not rubbed on us. Going to church yet, living in a cycle of defeats, and be a subject of whatever comes along our paths.

Therefore, it shows that, it’s not enough just to have Jesus Christ living in our hearts. That, if we want His power operating in our lives we must LIVE in Him.

The Word of God says as Christ is, so are we in this present world.

Is Jesus Christ subjected to economic recession, famine, diseases, depression or any evil presence? No, He is not a subject of any! Jesus Christ does not live under the dominion, control or any influences of this world system whether good or bad. And so, why should we allow the influences and the dictates of this world system to decide for us?

Jesus made it clear to us that we may be in this world, but we are not of this world. (John 17:16). We are set apart, sanctified unto God. Christ has separated us from , doom and gloom, failing economic system, plagues and pestilences or any evil! No matter our geographical location in the world, we don’t have to beg to eat, or have any needs met! (Psalm 37:18-19); (Psalm 37:25).

Jesus Christ has redeemed us with a costly price. His own Precious Blood. With His Blood He has cut us off, from every curse of the law: fear, diseases, lack, debt and every evil present in this world.  And Jesus  has already presented us God through His prayer, “I do not ask that You will take them out of the world, but that You will keep and protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world (worldly, belonging to the world), [just] as I am not of the world.”  (John 17:15-16)

Jesus has set us apart from the world to Himself, And this where we are suppose to live in the secret place of the Almighty. (Psalm 91) From this place, we are like the description in Psalm 1, thriving supernaturally, because we are living in His presence.

So, How do we live like Christ is, in this present world?   It’s  by obedience to His Word.

Jesus said it, “If you keep My commandments [if you continue to obey My instructions], you will abide in My love and live on in it, just as I have obeyed My Father’s commandments and live on in His love. 11 I have told you these things, that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing.” (John 15:10-11).  Living in obedience to the Lord and walking in love is the key to abiding in His presence.

I hope we have been encouraged, that in-spite of whatever is happening in the world, we are not subject to it, but we are suppose to thrive, going from glory to glory and His name, been glorified through us. Amen!

From this end, I am praying for you! God bless you! 🙂

“ He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust! For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.” (psalm 91:1-4)

In This post I will continue with the topic I started in my last post. I shared about the general importance of have a solid foundation so that in troubled times we will be stand strong and overcome. I believe two primary foundations are essential in our journey of faith. First the WORD Foundation and second PRAYER foundation. I already covered the first one in the last post “House Built on the Rock” and in this post I will continue with the second – Prayer Foundation

Prayer is universal, the Bible is by a huge margin the No 1 best seller in the world, with 6 billion copies sold. Already that is a sign that people generally believe in the existence of God and the ability to do both the possible and impossible.

Unfortunately there is a lot of misunderstanding when it comes to prayer, many times our lack of understanding and many lies told us by Satan often rub us of the confidence to approach God in prayer. Let me quick emphasis here, that this post is not a teaching on the subject of prayer. My reason for sharing this post is really to simplify prayer as much as possible.

The unique thing about prayer, is that the more you cultivate the habit of prayer , the more you want to pray. There is never a time or a level in prayer that anyone can say “I have arrived”, because as long as we are in God we are been transformed from one degree of glory to another. The more time we spend in His presence the more we get addicted to the warmth of His glorious embrace and the beautiful fragrance of His glory and presence. The experience David captured so well, “As the hart pants and longs for the water brooks, so I pant and long for You, O God. My inner self thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God?”(Psalm 42:1-2) AMP

There is a burden in my heart for the discouraging and distressing season many are going through, and my earnest hope is that this post on prayer will be simple enough to inspire the desire and confidence to dwell in His presence abiding under His Shadow 24/7. This is the secret place David unveiled to us over and over in the Bible, many in the Book of Psalms. David was a man that went through the valley of death many times in his life time, but through it all, David learnt an important fact, that, there is a place we can run to hide and abide where death and no scheme of Satan can prevail against us. That secret place is in PRAYER

Personally I can testify that prayer works, I have been through some dark seasons in my life, family break up, rebellious teenage, depression, overwhelming and agonizing dark times but in each and every one my valleys God carried me and not only that, I came out stronger each time than, when I went into the valley. What the devil planned for my harm God turned it around to be a blessing. To God be all the glory!

It’s unfortunate that many times the general believe is that prayer is about getting God to do things for us, or it is part of a religious duties that has to be fulfilled in other to appease God. First, lets define what prayer is and what prayer is not.

Prayer is not getting God to do things for us and neither is it about observing a religious duty. Put simply Prayer is fellowship with God. It’s communicating with God. In the true sense, fellowship means – sharing mutual desires, plans, likes and dislikes. And it is basically the same with our Prayer fellowship with our Heavenly Father The style of communication depends on personal preference. It can be loud or quite, in any preferred posture we find appropriate. The essential thing is sharing heart to heart with our heavenly Father. It is not a one sided dialogue, but two ways, we communicate to God and He communicates back to us. In prayer we share and pour out our heart to God and in return we listen to His heart as well. Like a father to son or daughter sharing and having fellowship together.

To make it even more intimate, it’s like a husband and wife relationship where the two are so united that they are no longer two but one. Abraham’s dedication and loyalty to God earned him the reputation “friend of God” (James 2:23).  Jesus in the New Testament called the disciples His friends (John 15:15).  And no wonder God refers to us in many instances in the Bible as His Bride. In the Bible God calls Himself our maker and also our Husband. In the New Testament Christ is revered to as Bridegroom to us – the Church.

As such, an aspect of our relation with the Lord is a Divine Marriage of Pure Intimacy. This should help us to capture the deep love He has for us. God desires our fellowship. We are on His mind 24/7, He is constantly thinking about us! David paints this aspect of God in the Psalms , “When I view and consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained and established, What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of [earth born] man that You care for him? Yet You have made him but a little lower than God [or heavenly beings], and You have crowned him with glory and honor. You made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet”  (Psalm 8:3-6)

This is the heart of prayer – Divine union in intimacy of fellowship with the Lord. And this is where our strength comes from. The WORD is our beginning and PRAYER is our strength. The Bible says “But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” (Isaiah 40:31)

When you come under the His Wings in Prayer, His Wings do not not only covers you, when you come into the Lord’s tabernacle of prayer you carry every area of your life into that secret place, your family, your business, ministry, your life and everything about you comes under the protection of Almighty God.

Yet, there is more, In the Mark Jesus said “For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].” (Mark 11:24)

Well, what more can be bigger than “Whatever”, this is more or less a Blank Cheque. This is more or less like God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis chapter 15  “And He brought him outside [his tent into the starlight] and said, Look now toward the heavens and count the stars—if you are able to number them. Then He said to him, So shall your descendants be.” (Genesis 15:5)

We, like Abraham have the Word in written form saying “whatsoever you desire” meaning it’s up to us.  We decide the limit based on how far we are willing to go in God. Abraham earned His friendship with God because of His dedication and loyalty to God . Whatever we need, we have the basis for it to be granted in His word and in the posture of Prayer lifestyle. The Lord desires to bless us as we go to Him in prayer, so that His name will be glorified in our life and on the Earth. Based on His promises no body should miss out!

So let us be encouraged, to make prayer a priority, cultivating a prayer lifestyle. If we desire this and we ask the Lord, He will help us.  The Holy Spirit will empower us to pray and He will also show us what to pray and how to pray.  As we commit to dwelling under His Wings in prayer, we will diffuse the fragrance of His presence every where we go, we will stamp His presence on every thing we touch, and we will be strengthened to stand and be victorious in every situation. Under His Wings we will rise above every trouble, adversity and storm in life in Jesus name!
