Waiting With Expectation

 “Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted;

But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.”   (Isaiah 40:30-31)

God Wants to Promote You

Promotionatwork1

“You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I Am], He may give it to you.” (John 15:16)

Maybe you are already on a job and you are seeking promotion or it can even be that presently you do not have a job. Well, let me encourage you with this, whatever your current position is, God has already ordain you for success. From the Scripture quoted above, God has already laid the foundation for your success. He has already approved you in Jesus Christ and put in you the ability to be fruitful. That is increase, that is talking promotion.

If you have a goal or target set before you, irrespective of how difficult it looks, you can have confidence in the fact that God wants you to excel in the task set before you, and that is why He said, ‘ASK’. God really wants to increase you more and more!

Although God doesn’t reward laziness, He wants us be diligent in the work of our hands and be commendable at our different work places, where ever that might be,whether we are self employed or working for somebody. The Bible says “A hard worker has plenty of food, but a person who chases fantasies ends up in poverty.” (Proverbs 28:19) NLT

However having said that, we must understand the fact that God does not want us to be ‘hustlers, struggling through life to make things work for us’ God wants us to have a ‘mindset of Christ’ in our approaches. The mindset of Christ says, ‘Through Christ I can’,  that is what the Bible says in Philippians,  “I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].”  (Philippians 4:13)

With this mindset you can ask God for whatever you need to excel in your desired goal. With this mindset you can do your job or serve your boss with the diligence required and make him or her happy. And with the mindset of Christ you can look to God for your promotion in “due season”.

Make God your source, allow Him to teach you and lead you to become profitable. God can give you creative ideas to solve problems. He can give you favor with the right people. The Spirit of the Lord can give you discernment about people and show you things hidden to the natural eyes. He can open doors in the right places for you, where man says it is impossible! God can give you whatever resources you need to accomplish your goal! All you need to do is ask the Father for it in the Name of Jesus.

You are very much in my Prayers!  God bless you!

UNSTOPPABLE JOY!!!

joy-1

“You will laugh at destruction and famine; wild animals will not terrify you.” (Job 5:22)

Welcome to that special month again, December the special season of the year when we celebrate the best Gift of God to the World,  the Birth of Jesus Christ. The countdown to celebration of Christmas, has started in many places around the world. It’s an exciting time of celebration and joyfulness, and many of us around the globe are already looking forward to celebrating it with family, friends and loved ones, feasting and rejoicing with a bang! Although the true meaning of Christmas is not just a one day thing, rather, Christmas is meant to be lived everyday, because Jesus Christ now lives in our heart 24/7  as born again believers. However, having said that, there is nothing wrong with having a joyful feast at any time one desires, infact, joy is a good recommendation for healthy living.

A Joyful heart induces laughter which is a good medicine for the soul. Medical science has now proven that, laughter helps to deal with stress level, pain and conflict. Scientists say that laughter releases peace to the mind, immune system and helps to build relationships. Well, the bible already told us that. science is only just catching up with what the Bible has known all along.  The Book of Nehemiah says,  “ the Joy of the Lord is our strength” (Nehemiah 8:10)

God truly knows what we need when he created us. He knows that being joyful is essential for our spiritual, physical and emotional well-being. It blesses God’s heart when we are joyful. God created us to enjoy everything He has made with Him, and just like any good earthly parent will be glad to see their kids happy and enjoy laughing with them, so also is God. If we think about of it like that, every time the devil tries a sneaky move on us to steal our joy, we will be so quick to put Satan where he truly belongs – under our feet! (Luke 10:19)

God says in His Word that, we can laugh at famine and destruction, and for sure we can do that because everything we need to laugh in the face of trouble is already provided for us in the Bible.

If you need physical healing you go to the Word of God and receive. The Bible declares in Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24 that by the stripes of Jesus you WERE healed. Jesus already paid for your healing. Praise God! Hebrews 4:12 says, the word of God is full of power, sharp and able to penetrate your physical body, minister healing  and raise your body to life! The Word, in Jeremiah 17:14 says, “heal me oh Lord and I shall be healed”, that tells me, you don’t even have to wait for somebody to pray for you or lay hands on you to receive healing, you can go to God directly yourself and ask Him to heal you.

Is there trouble in your home? Has the devil got your kids hooked and dragging them to hell with him? Get your Bible out and tell the devil what the Word of God says about you and your family,  Isaiah 54:13-14 boldly declares that great will be your peace, and you and your heritage shall be established in righteousness. Psalm 91:6 says because the Lord is your dwelling place no destruction will come near your dwelling. So you can boldly tell divorce, rebellion, command every ungodly spirit of strive and division to back their bags and go in the name of Jesus Christ!

Are you facing unemployment? Has your bank statement taken a down turn? Have you got piles of unpaid bills? Psalm 23:1 says the Lord is your Shepherd you shall not want, You can depend on God to supply all your needs, (Philippians 4:19) and for His favor to promote you in due season. Psalm 75:6, says promotion does not originate  from mankind but it is the Lord’s doing.

Maybe your need is wisdom and direction for your life, you can  go to the true source of wisdom, God’s wisdom is available to all, you don’t have to fail  (James 1:5) and in Psalm 119:98, God says He will make you wiser than your enemies.

No matter the size of your problem God has already given you His Word to stand on and laugh at the enemy. As we stay connected to God by faith in His word, we can laugh at trouble and adversity with confident assurance that, God is working behind the scene for us and in good time the word of the Lord will come to pass in that situation.

Let us keep our eyes focused on the Lord, for with God nothing is impossible!

Praying for you! God bless you!

Building in Stages

HAVE_20HOPE_20INSPIRATIONAL_20WALL_20STICKER_20QUOTE_large

He tells us everything over and over—one line at a time, one line at a time, a little here, and a little there!” ( Isaiah 28:10) LT

A good percentage of people live the best part of their lives either regretting past failures or been anxious and dreading the challenges of tomorrow. But neither of these should define us, because the God we serve is not “I was” or “ I will be” but “I AM”. That says a lot about the importance of TODAY in our spiritual growth.

Sometimes we want to get there quicker than God. What then is the importance of getting to our destination and God is not part of it? The Bible says everything we build will be tested and revealed by fire. “The work of each [one] will become [plainly, openly] known (shown for what it is); for the day [of Christ] will disclose and declare it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test and critically appraise the character and worth of the work each person has done.” (1 Corinthian 3:13). AMP

What God wants to do in us is far greater than the destination He is taking us to. What God wants to deposit inside us spiritually, is far more precious than anything of this world. What God wants to give birth to in us, occurs in stages, it is a process. Spiritual maturity is a process of precept upon precept and layer upon layer (using King James’ Translation).

Leonard Wedel describes spiritual maturity as this: “A mature person does not take himself too seriously…keeps himself alert in mind…does not always view with alarm every adverse situation that arises…is too big to be little…. never feels too great to do little things, and is never too proud to do humble things…never accepts either success or failure in themselves as permanent….is one who is able to control his or her impulses…is not afraid to make mistakes…has faith in themselves which becomes stronger as it is fortified by their faith in God.”

Spiritual maturity takes place as we learn to master how to focus on today. Growing day by day. I also believe that,  2 Corinthian 6:2 really helps to simplify the process of  spiritual maturity because of the emphasis on the present;  “For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.”[Indeed, the “right time” is now. Todayis the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2) LT

The life of faith, is not about yesterday or tomorrow, it’s about how we respond now to the Word of God TODAY. Learning to ask, “what do I need to accomplish today? How do I apply the Word of God and myself to it? Spiritual maturity takes place in daily steps of faith, and not in giant leaps. As we learn to choose God’s word above our feelings as final authority in every area of our life daily, we will be transformed from glory to glory.

“And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit. (2 Corinthian 3:18) AMP

Let us be encouraged to make the most of today remembering we are been transformed from glory to glory.

Much love to you from here ~ And  Happy Thanksgiving  to you and loved ones! 🙂 God bless you!

FAITH IS NOW!

faith steps

“Asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He replied to them by saying, The kingdom of God does not come with signs to be observed or with visible display. 21 Nor will people say, Look! Here [it is]! or, See, [it is] there! For behold, the kingdom of God is within you [in your hearts] and among you [surrounding you].”  (Luke 17:20-21)

Many believers are unconsciously trapped by the mindset that the kingdom of Heaven is a distant place where we will all go someday. And yes, it is, but even though it is a true statement, it’s a limited thinking of what Jesus has done for us. Take a look at the book of Colossians:

“Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God’s holy people) in the Light. 13 [The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,..” (Colossians 1:12-13)

This bible text reveals that we have already been, forgiven, qualified and translated out of the control and the dominion of the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of God.

In the post last week, I shared that, we are called to live in the presence of God, and that, this is done by obedience and walking in love.((John 15:10-11). This is important, because the original purpose for which we were created is be intimate with God, to fellowship and live in His presence.  When God created man He poured himself into man – His breath; creative life and power was poured into man. (Genesis 2:7). We were created to be one with Him, and from His presence to exercise dominion over all of God’s creation. We were created to live in harmony and union with God until Adam’s rebellion brought separation between man and God. And then, God devised a new plan for restoring His fellowship with man, He gave His Son Jesus Christ, to die and bridge the gap. And now through Jesus we are restored to an everlasting fellowship and communion with God. (Romans 5:17-19)

Since Christ has restored us into fellowship with God as New Creation, therefore, we are already living in the kingdom of God now. And so, if we are already living in the presence of God, and we know that in the presence of God there is peace, joy, salvation, healing, provision, restoration, in short, abundant Life (John 10:10). Doesn’t it then make sense that everything we need is already available to us now? The healing, peace, joy, salvation of loved ones, deliverance and provision for every thing we need in this very present moment is already existing in God, and we, in Christ, are living in the very presence of God!

This is the reason why faith must operate with the mindset of Now! Faith receives the blessings of God now! (Hebrews 11:1). Faith is present tense not future tense, our faith is not in the future because we are already living in the kingdom of Heaven right now by faith! Therefore, our faith also must match up with that understanding of where we are Spiritually. Our mind has to be renewed to this Spiritual fact.

Faith is now, the Kingdom of Heaven is now. Don’t allow the devil to trap you with the mindset that the Kingdom is a distance away and in the future. The word of God says in Luke 17, the kingdom is already in us, and we are already in the Kingdom now. We have been translated from the kingdom of darkness, from the control and dominion of Satan, the law of sin and death can not rule over us anymore, we are now in the the Kingdom of Heaven, in the presence of God. So therefore, we have access to everything we need from God by faith now!

Believe and release your faith today, ask God for that particular need in your life, ask Him to help you today where you feel weak or overwhelmed with the situation you are facing. Maybe your need is for healing or whatever you need deliverance for, receive it now by faith in the name of Jesus, and begin to thank God by faith for the answer to your prayer now. Faith is present, faith is now! Thank God for the salvation of your loved ones now! Thank Him for healing and restoring every area that is broken in your life now! Thank God for every thing you need now! And keep growing in your daily walk with God, keep confessing His word over your life. As you continue in the Lord, at the right season or “due season” (Galatians 6:7-9), you will see the answer to your prayer in physical form. (John 1:1). For with God all things are possible! (Amen)

Please make this declaration with me:

Lord I I believe that Jesus died for me to be freed from every curse of the law. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviou. I believe your word is true and I receive your provision and healing in my life now by faith! I walk by faith and not by sight, I thank you Father that I will see the physical manifestation in due season. I ask in Jesus name. Amen!

I’m praying in agreement with you from this end! God bless you!

Change What You See

transformed-renewing-mind4

But Moses said, The people among whom I am are 600,000 footmen [besides all the women and children], and You have said, I will give them meat, that they may eat a whole month! 22 Shall flocks and herds be killed to suffice them? Or shall all the fish of the sea be collected to satisfy them? 23 The Lord said to Moses, Has the Lord’s hand (His ability and power) become short (thwarted and inadequate)? You shall see nowwhether My word shall come to pass for you or not.” (Numbers 11:21-23)

To Moses what he was facing was overwhelming and hopeless. As the leader of the nation of Israel, the responsibility of their well-being was on him. The situation absolutely got the best of Moses…. “ I am not able to carry all these people alone, because the burden is too heavy for me.” (Numbers 11:14)  They were in the middle of the desert, scarce resources, the Israelites were murmuring and complaining, they were surrounded by enemies and neighbors who will not help them. No doubt the situation was overwhelming and agonizing for Moses.

When Moses complained, God reminded him, that He had not changed, that He still was God and His arm is not short to save and deliver!

Beloved, there are no limits to God and what He is able to do! What God expected them to do, was to walk by faith and not by sight! God wanted them to move forward by faith, trusting in Him, even when the situation looked  impossible. But, because of what Moses was seeing in his imagination, the image he had about himself and the situation confronting them could not bring him into the abundant provision of God, which was already laid up for them on the other side – “in God”, which cannot be perceived by the natural mind. (Look at what God did for them in verse 31, He abundantly provided for them!!)

How do we walk by faith and not by sight? How do we change what we see to match and connect with what God has already made available for us?

You do this by spending time thinking on the promises God has provided for you in His Word. By meditating on them. By believing you receive those promises. And by changing your image or the picture you have in your imagination.  For example, if you are in need financially, change seeing yourself as the one always in need,  to a person who is generous, a tither and a giver to those in need. If you are sick, see yourself healed, not only that, see yourself laying hands on the sick in the name of Jesus, and seeing them healed and restored. And the bottom line, forgive your enemies and walk in Love.

As you do, those promises of God will become real to you, your image of yourself will change and your faith will begin to grow and increase.  Just make a quality decision to keep meditating on the word on a consistent basis, eventually your mind will become transformed into the right image by the power of the Holy Spirit, and you will begin to see the manifestation of those promises in your life!  Brothers and Sisters let us be encouraged in knowing that, no matter how difficult the circumstances confronting us, God is for us and His arm is not short to save us!

I’m praying for you! God bless you!

Where is your FAITH, in the WORD or World?

weary

Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.”  (1 Corinthians 1:27-29)

God’s ways are higher than ours. God’s method is contrary to the world’s way of doing things. For example, God says when you are weak, you are strong (2 Corinthians 12:10). When you are poor, you have more than enough ( in Christ, you are an appointed heir of all things created by God – Hebrews 1:2). When you are in need, give sacrificially (1 king 17:9-16). When you are sick and have a negative report from the doctor, you declare you WERE healed by the stripes of Jesus (Isaiah 53:5). When you are hated and persecuted, love in return (Matt 5:43-48.) It does not add up and it makes no sense to our natural mind how God works. But you know what? It pleases God when we are willing to be like a child in our faith and take God at His word. The TRUTH is, no matter what we might be facing, our God is more than ENOUGH!

When fear of lack of any kind, tries to grip our heart, God invites us to grow in our faith and knowledge of Him. And by turning to Him in prayer and His WORD, we discover the power of His provision in our lives!

I am praying for you! God bless!

PRAISE TOOL!

blog-27may2013-PAUL_SILAS-2

Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!” (Acts 16:25-27)

It does not  really need saying that,  we are generally not in a good mood when things are not going our way. Praising God is far remove from our mind because of the emotional pain or the inconveniences we are experiencing. In Acts 16, Paul and Silas found themselves locked away in prison. More-so, they were arrested for doing a good course. They were in the perfect will of God, for their lives, obediently serving and doing what God had told him to do, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News” for that, they found themselves in prison, bounded hands and feet to the prison wall and locked up in a dirty, dark, cold underground cell. In such a place, it’s so easy for our emotions to take the best part of us and rule our actions. But Paul and Silas refused to allow their circumstances to define them.

First, they knew it was not God doing this to them, they knew it was the devil trying to stop them from press into God’s will for them. Second, they knew it was not their battle and that God can penetrate any walls, break any chains, up root any foundations, they knew God is not limited by any circumstances of the world or or even in the heavens, so the brought out their PRAISE TOOL, and just praised God anyway until God showed up. They brought out the PRAISE TOOL for two particular reasons, first, they knew Praise and Worship stills and cuts the Voice of the Enemy, second, it Ushers in the presences of God into any environment and circumstances!

Whenever you make it a point of duty to praise God, whether you feel like it or not, God shows up! You experience intimacy with the Lord. When you are united in this holy intimacy of praise with your Heavenly Father – the One who created the heavens and the earth nothing is impossible!!! So today, dare the devil and the overwhelming circumstances you are facing in your life right now , lift up your hands and face towards heaven like Paul and Silas and praise God anyway until He shows up! Because the Truth of the matter is , as you do, you give God the opportunity of stepping into your situation and to begin to turn the bitter waters in your life to sweetness. Amen>

Praying for you! God bless you!

You Are Not Alone

david_vs_goliath_color_comp_wip_by_nickhuddlestonartist-d68tsu1

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.”    (1 Timothy 1:7)

Fear of any kind is not good for us. God stresses this fact enough for us by providing so many Scriptural verses for us as a promise and weapon against fear. There is at least 365 promises in the Bible specifically dealing with fear.  And so, every single day of our life we don’t have fear to anything!

God hates fear. Why? Because, Fear paralysis us! It stops your Faith.  As an example, just take a look at the screen, in this story, about one giant’s  intimidation of a whole Nation of Israel in 1 Samuel 17:1-52.  (Please read this in your bible)

In this story Satan nearly won the victory,  just based on fear and intimidation alone!  Look at a whole nation, including their king Saul,  a Nation of people, in covenant with the creator of the Heavens and the Earth. These are God’s children, and here they are melting with fear before one uncircumcised Philistine, because of his Size!  “…..And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, terrified.” (1 Samuel 17:24)

But then, take a look at just ONE small Boy, with another Focus. A small boy with no reputation, a mere shepherd boy and the least in his family,  David. As soon as David came on the scene, he immediately refused to DOUBT God, despite the attempts by his brothers and even Saul.  And also, he refused to allow Goliath’s insults and intimidation to discourage him. His focus was on a Covenant keeping God, you can see from his confession; “Then said David to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the ranks of Israel, Whom you have defied.” (1 Samuel 17:45)

This mere shepherd boy because of his courage in God , he ushered in another atmosphere into the scene.  A boy who had no reputation with man, immediately brought God on the scene, and from there the rest is history.  God turned the table around and gave the nation of Israel the victory,  because of one small boy who had his focus on a Miracle working God. And God was glorified!

When you are facing a serious sickness, financial crisis or an unexpected problem the spirit of fear will immediately try to gain a STONGHOLD in your mind. If you don’t take authority over it in Jesus Name, it will take over and dominate your heart and mind until you are no longer trusting and believing God. Fear is not just a dictionary translation, Fear is a spirit!  It is a spirit sent and used by Satan to oppress, torment, control and dominate. Fear takes our focus off God and places it on our circumstances.

Brothers and Sisters, where is our focus? Where is your focus consigning that issue or problem before you. Jesus says he will never leave nor forsake us. David won his battle because of his relationship with God. If you have a relationship with Jesus Christ, you too can rest your faith in God’s word and confront your sickness, financial trouble or any giant before you like David.

I encourage you to make this Confess of faith with me: I recognize fear is not from God. It is not for me and I refuse fear to take control of my life! Fear you are not my lord, Jesus Christ is my saviour and Lord. In the name of Jesus I reject you and cast you out of my mind and my life. I plead the Blood of Jesus over my life and I embrace the Holy Spirit in my life. God has not given me the spirit of fear but the Spirit of power, love and a sound mind. From today, my trust and focus is in Jesus Christ and all His promises for my life. Amen!

Know that, you are in prayer everyday! God bless you!
