Faith Receives the Impossible

Businessman Crossing the Finish Line

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. ” (Phil 4:6-7)

Though, the word clearly instructs us over and over not to be anxious for anything. But often, when we receive negative news we go on our impulses or feelings, allowing the spirit of fear and anxiety to take hold of us. Before we realize it, we are pointing our fingers at God, blaming him and if not God, we find others to blame.

When we give into our emotions , what we often fail to realize is that we are actually Playing right into the devil’s Hand! The devil wants you to keep your eyes on what is only possible on this earthly realm and on your limitations. He knows that if he can get you to focus on the natural realm he can box you in and hinder “Supernatural Intervention from Heaven.”

When your eyes are on your circumstances your focus is on the devil! But when you pray and humble yourself before God about the situation, asking God to help you and to have His way in your life, Heaven opens over you, God releases His angels to supernaturally intervene on your behalf and work a Miracle for you! (Heb 1:14; Psalm 103:20)

Lets take a look at 2 kings chapters 6 and 7. We can learn something very important about the “Power of Focus” from the King of Israel and Elisha the prophet.

The king of Israel was facing a tremendous and impossible situation; Instead of the king taking his needs to God; He took to his feelings, and fear took hold of him. All the king could see was lack, famine and people starving to death, the impossibilities and odds that were against him. He gave in to the pressure of his circumstances; He blamed God and His prophet, Elisha, for his problem and ordered the prophet to be killed.

Checking out the story on the other side….. Let’s take a look at Elisha. How did he react to the whole situation? Elisha had a totally different focus… .Elisha didn’t focus on the famine and impossibilities or even the death report from the king! Elisha put his focus on God of Miracles Signs and Wonders! His eyes were on the Supernatural! He meditates on the word and chose to channel his focus or thoughts on bringing to remembrance previous might acts of God! He remembered how:

God defiled the laws of gravity by causing an axe head to swim (2 kings 6:1-7)

God supernaturally cancelled a widows debt by multiplying the oil from a little jar to fill all the pots available until she ran out of pots (2kings 4:1-7)

God supernaturally opened an old woman’s dead womb to give birth to a son and also raised that child back to life when he died (2 kings 4:8-37)

God sent horses and chariots of fire to protect him (2 kings 6:8-18)

Elijah had the Right Focus, and because of that he was able to rule his feelings and emotions. Making use of the authority God has given him as a prophet, he spoke the Word of God over his situation. And God responded! He did not accuse God, or questioned God. And he did not wonder, if it was God’s will to deliver him. He confessed the Word of God, and God met him with a Miracle!!!

As children of God, He has given you and I the authority to ask in His Name

“And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” (John 16:23-24)

What are the circumstances you are facing today? Don’t allow any negative attitude to rub you off your miracle. DECLARE THE WORD OF GOD!

Ask God for what you need in Jesus name!
