Too Faithful To Fail!

How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world. 20 You hide them in the shelter of your presence, safe from those who conspire against them. You shelter them in your presence, far from accusing tongues. (Psalm 31:19-20)

In the very early hours of today, I read a blog post encouraging readers to reflect on  5 reasons why they love Christmas. Immediately my mind was flooded with so many things I could be thankful for. But for me, the top of my list is my family. It got me thinking and reflecting on of how difficult it was to raise 2 young children (11 and 5 yrs ) on my own as a single parent. I remember juggling everything together to make ends meet. But the most difficult part of it,  is to watch my children cope with the emotional pain of a broken home.

But I found a refuge – the solid rock of Christ! The Lord took full responsibility for my children and has kept them ever since from the enemy’s plan to destroy them. They are both responsible adults today, living their lives and growing more and more in Christ.  And i’m so proud of them and grateful to God! The emotional healing came about in stages, one layer at a time God touched every pain and set me free from Satan’s grip.

Today I can confidently say that there is “ a Balm in Gilead that  truly heals”, the Blood of Jesus Christ can bind up any wound, and bring  freedom –  Wholeness  in Christ.   God is faithful and too faithful to fail you, if you put your trust in Him!

I share this testimony today to encourage anyone that might be  going through family crisis or any circumstances that can make celebrating Christmas a daunting experience because of any unpleasant memories or emotional pain connected with family,  relationship or any issues for that reason. I will like to encourage you to take time and meditate on the Word of God, you can take a look into the  Scripture verses in quote above.

Verse 19 – I hope you will take time to meditate on the word of this verse, that you will fully trust God, knowing that He has prepared something Good for you, no matter how difficult things may look in the natural at the present moment.

Verse 20 – That you will take refuge in the presence of the Lord.  I can tell you, that is a place where no evil can find or touch you. And how do you do this? You take refuge in Lord by meditating on the promises of God over that situation. When negative thoughts of fear and anxiety try to take you down the dark path, declare the promises of God and ask God to help you to stay focus, trusting that God is able to rescue and set you free!

Know that God loves you and has a good plan for you no matter who you are. All you need is to call on His name – JESUS! If you call on the Lord with a sincere heart, He has promised that He will not reject you, the Lord will answer you.

I pray that God will give you a cause to be glad and rejoice in His goodness in this Christmas season. May you have a wonderfully blessed Christmas!
